Hi,
You’re getting this because you followed along with Roll.
Engineers delegated the coding loop to agents. This turned agentic coding into a trillion-dollar category in about two years. Traders will delegate the trading loop next.
Today we’re introducing Avalon Labs, an AI research lab building frontier models for trading in markets. You can check out Sid’s tweet here
Our last company built trading infrastructure that crossed $1B in volume, which meant years of watching how traders actually work. Avalon’s goal isn’t a chatbot that knows about finance. It’s intelligence that can participate in the process of trading. We call that capability Trading Intelligence and advancing it is our only focus.

A new kind of trader is starting to emerge: the trading engineer. Traders who direct trading agents instead of placing every order themselves. Right now that means stitching together Claude Code and Codex agents, notebooks and terminals. Traders need an Integrated Trading Environment the way software engineers needed an IDE.
Twitter scaled the short-form blogger. Robinhood scaled the retail trader. Avalon scales the trading engineer.
Two things we’ve published on how we think about this:
We’re giving a small number of traders a year of Avalon Pro free. If you already trade with code, notebooks, APIs or agents, just reply to this email. We’d love to show you what we’ve built!
