Saying Goodbye to the Roll App

When we first launched Roll, the idea of social tokens was a vision without even a clear name of the category — now it’s a reality lived across chains, platforms, and protocols.

Today, we’re officially closing the Roll app, marking the final step in sunsetting the custodial phase of Roll’s journey. While this chapter ends, we remain deeply proud of the position Roll played in launching the first social token standard on Ethereum and helping to shape what is now known as SocialFi.

You can relive some of the highlights of Roll in our post from several months ago below where we highlighted Roll as the first social token platform to integrate DEX support, co-create token gating, and take social tokens mainstream among many other accomplishments.

As mentioned earlier, if you still have social tokens on a Roll wallet and would like to withdraw them you will need to manually send the team a message at this time.

We’ve hit the cap — but the value created together will always circulate.

This is the final update for the Roll app, but not the end of the impact we’ve made together. What started as an experiment in currency and community became a spark — a signal that creators could mint value directly into the fabric of the internet. That signal lives on, far beyond any single product or platform.

To everyone who believed early, launched boldly, or just explored the edges of what was possible — thank you. You helped shape a new on-chain language for community, identity, and value.

Roll was never just an app. It was a bet on people. And that bet continues — in the protocols you build, the tokens you trade, and the new worlds you co-create.

Remembering Roll

In 2018 we set out to introduce social tokens to the crypto space and we look back with excitement as we’ve succeeded in this mission. The category of social tokens (now SocialFi), has taken on a cross-chain life of its own and we're grateful Roll had an integral part in its early days.

We went on this mission with countless amazing teams, people and creators. Roll started before the category of social tokens even had a name, so we introduced the category as "social money" in 2019 to emphasize the utility aspect soon after Roll went live.

Roll x Uniswap x Collabland

Once Uniswap v1 was deployed, Roll was the first creator platform to integrate Uniswap in 2019 and enable Roll creators to set up bonding curves for their own tokens.

By 2020, 4 years before pump.fun, this innovation on the Ethereum L1 led to on-chain utility and co-creating token gating with the Collabland team and some adventurous Roll creators. From this point onward, the value of a tokenized community could be tied to utility as creators could now set the number of tokens needed to get into a discord or telegram group.

Around this time, the Roll app was also among the first crypto apps in the Apple app store.

Taking Social Tokens Mainstream

With massive Web3 communities on Roll like Hackatao creating $MORK, Whaleshark creating $WHALE and Friends with Benefits minting $FWB, we were the first to legitimize mainstream creators and artists using social tokens.

The birth of actor Terry Crews creating $POWER, artist Shephard Fairey creating $OBEY, rapper Ja Rule creating $ICONN and youtube creator The Professor launching $CROSS ushered in an era of celebrities, influencers, presidents and notable creators beginning to launch their own tokens in crypto.

We're grateful to help bring this category of tokenized communities mainstream. There's so much more to do and so much farther to go but we have faith in all the teams we've connected with over the years and everyone else building in the SocialFi, social token and AI agent space.

Next Steps

Since Roll services will be shutting down, it's imperative that you withdraw tokens you have in the Roll app and Roll discord bot by April 15th, 2025.

After this date, we will begin the sunsetting of the Roll app and Roll discord bot. This means you will not be able to use Roll app products or remove tokens from Roll products like the app and discord bot after April 15, 2025.

Please log into the Roll app and Roll discord bot and withdraw any tokens you wish to keep before this date. Once you have Roll tokens in your non-custodial wallet, you're all set and there's nothing else needed on your end.

You will still be able to use the Roll Fun launchpad on the Form blockchain. You can check that out below

We are at a moment where social tokens on Ethereum have evolved into tokens minted on L2s with native liquidity via bonding curves. We are continuing what we started at Roll and evolving as an L2 to bring this new category of SocialFi to Form.

We are now connecting the world of Form with activity from previous Roll wallet users - both on-chain and off-chain. As a user or creator on the Roll app, if you've used the Roll wallet in the past you are likely eligible for rewards from the Form blockchain ecosystem. To receive any of these rewards for off-chain Roll wallet use (earn codes, rewards etc.), please connect your Roll account to a Web3 wallet by following the steps below.

This means we will soon sunset earn codes and other off-chain features, focusing solely on our web3 products like minting, staking and memberships. We will have a very special feature that will enable users to launch tokens very soon. This will be exclusive to the Form blockchain.

Who's On a Roll 👀

1️⃣Grayscale Investments has successfully contested the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission over its Bitcoin ETF application. The SEC had previously cited concerns about Grayscale’s safety measures. Judge Neomi Rao, however, found the SEC’s rejection lacking justification. This victory gives Grayscale another shot, but the final outcome remains uncertain. We’ll make sure to keep an eye on this story as it continues to unfold.

2️⃣ Solana Pay has partnered with Shopify to enable crypto payments for its numerous businesses. Built on the Solana blockchain, the initial payment mode will be USDC given its appeal to merchants and regulatory stability. Shopify, representing 10% of U.S. e-commerce, can benefit from nearly fee-free transactions using Solana, compared to traditional credit card fees. Additionally, the integration facilitates easy creation of merchant loyalty programs through NFT tokens.

3️⃣ Coca-Cola has released its “Masterpiece NFT” collection on Base, Coinbase’s ETH Layer 2 platform. The collection blends iconic artworks like “The Scream” and “Girl With a Pearl Earring” with contemporary pieces and the recognizable Coca-Cola bottle. This move was part of Coinbase’s “Onchain Summer” initiative, celebrating the efficiency of the Layer 2 chain through various art, gaming, and music projects. This isn’t Coke’s first jump into NFTs, they previously auctioned NFTs and launched collectibles for Pride Month, earlier this summer.

The incredible force behind $LLAMA stopped by for a Twitter Spaces recently. Their “Come As You Are” philosophy is looking to redefine the online mindfulness space. Breaking away from the constraints of cost and appearance, their platform encourages a raw, real mindfulness journey. The New Creator Economy

In a huge move, Google has revisited its advertising policy to shine a spotlight on NFT gaming.

Starting on September 15th, Google will be allowing games where players can purchase in-game assets such as virtual apparel, weapons, and other items. This allows players to enrich their in-game journey. These aren’t just virtual gaming assets, they are dynamic chess pieces in the digital economy.

A platform as massive as Google is acknowledging the potential of NFTs operating in-game. This is throwing the gates of innovation wide open and inviting creative artists to continue building.

Google wants to keep the focus on creativity and innovation. With that in mind its retained the ban on games promoting gambling or betting with NFTs. But there is a real narrative shift here. Google is unlocking and harnessing the power of creators. For start-ups and digital artists, this is an opportunity. With tech giants like Google helping set the stage, the sky is the limit for what creators can accomplish.

Happenings in the Roll Ecosystem

Didi Taihuttu of $FAMILY delves into the transformative potential of $BTC mining. Traditional Bitcoin mining, centralized in massive farms, faces complex challenges such as sustainability. Micromining, leveraging small devices like smartphones and other devices can democratize this process, making it accessible to the masses. This shift promotes a decentralized network, reduces environmental impact, and could spur wider crypto adoption. Major players $ETH and $BTC have remained relatively stable as we slipped away into August. Is this a recurring pattern? Will we continue to see both treading water as we close out the hottest crypto summer on record? With regulatory oversight coming from many different angles sideways movement could be the norm. New sharks, new blood in the water is needed to move the needle and grow. Climbing interest rates and inflation are still impacting many, highlighting that upward growth trajectory could very well be unsustainable.

Just how long will this go on? Some experts predict maybe into the beginnings of 2024 as we search to onboard the next million crypto users.

Who’s on a Roll 👀

1️⃣Ready, set, race! Crypto exchange Kraken will allow fans to submit and vote for four NFTS that will be displayed on the Williams Racing F1 cars during the US Grand Prix, later this year. 6 NFTs in total will be chosen, with the final 2 being chosen by the drivers of Williams Racing. The winning NFTs are to be displayed on the rear flap of each car this October. The initiative aims to educate and engage F1 fans while promoting different crypto projects. Other F1 teams, like Red Bull for example, have embraced crypto sponsorships, signaling a huge integration of the crypto industry into the luxury sport. Exciting partnerships like this are the gateway to mass adoption.

2️⃣Eithad Airways is set to release a 300-edition expansion of its Polygon-based EY-ZERO1 NFT collection. These NFTs will grant holders access to The Horizon Club loyalty program, set to launch in September. These NFTs will allow holders to earn miles for real-world flights and upgrades through staking. Will other airlines begin looking into loyalty programs like this? There’s a lot of frequent fliers out there.

3️⃣ As concerns over AI shut down Hollywood, The Fahey/Klein Gallery in LA is presenting an art exhibit that breathes new life into Allen Ginsberg's poetry using the highly-debated technology. The exhibition, "Muses & Self: Photographs by Allen Ginsberg," features photos from Ginsberg's collection, alongside "A Picture of My Mind: Poems Written by Allen Ginsberg’s Photographs," created by an AI trained on his literary body of work. The collab between TheVERSEverse and the Tezos Foundation translates Ginsberg’s iconic vision into poetic responses through AI-powered cameras. The exhibit runs until September, engaging audiences in the intersection of creativity and technology. Is this a bridge too far or an interesting way to carry on legacies after death?

Web3 Tools Shaping Entertainment with $LEFT

Brian McGuire of $LEFT shared exciting insights with us recently on our Twitter Spaces. The discussion centered around his new project and how Web3 tools drive the evolution of the entertainment industry.

His latest project is the Bored Pepe Wax Club. It’s a community-driven NFT project with ties to weekly $WAX earnings, community competitions, animation projects, and tons of other fun. He chose Pepe due to the representation of hope and triumph that only the frog meme can capture. Pepe is very easy for a community to rally around.

The New Creator Economy 🌐

Twitter - or should we say X - has been undergoing a ton of changes. Some have received criticism but others have been great for creators. Elon Musk has his sights set on empowering creators with the introduction of Ad Revenue Sharing. This signals a commitment to spotlighting and rewarding top creator talent. The program is set to distribute a staggering $5 million USD in the initial round of payments. Some creators already reporting payouts ranging from 5 to 6 figures.

To be eligible for the program, creators need to be Blue users or a verified organization. You must have at least 15 million cumulative post impressions in the last 3 months and a minimum of 500 followers. The monetized ads are placed strategically in the replies of creator's’ posts. This incentivizes engagement and sparks discussions. Expect to see more engagement farming, hot takes, and thought-provoking content to elicit a response. There are guardrails in place to ensure that no explicit, harmful, or plagiarized material qualifies for monetization. Making sure the focus remains on collectors who are staying authentic to themselves.

Elon is aiming to build the ultimate destination for creators to thrive. Ad revenue sharing is just the first step towards rewarding many for their invaluable contributions to the platform. 2️⃣ The Associated Press and OpenAI have inked a groundbreaking two-year deal, marking the first-ever partnership between a major US news company and an AI firm. No consumer release strategy has yet to be defined. Apple is expected to make an AI-related announcement next year. As others have leaped into the AI pool, Apple has remained quiet until now. Projects like cutting-edge media rights management platform, Greenlit, are trying to address industry inefficiencies that are the center of the strike. Their platform offers tools to secure the management of legally binding IP rights. They have those rights embedded into NFTs. By marrying the two, Greenlit is offering monetization through licensing and distribution. All on-chain.

This would allow for better management of royalty payouts. A crucial issue that is seeing Hollywood grind to a halt. It’s a real-world illustration of how Web3 can solve a problem affecting people all over the globe.

Another way to ensure more ownership over work is a project like Left House ($LEFT) that puts authenticity at the heart of their community. Their artist led community funds projects like “Life on a Train”, a documentary about rail travel in the United States. The community allows artists to capture the stories they choose to share, and retain rights to them. All without a big studio interfering or constraining their work.

With Hollywood on strike, where will entertainment come from?

Animation is a strong bet to rebound. It’s where Web3 can shine. A project like Hangry Animals ($FOOD) could be one of many on the rise. Their Hangryverse is an IP universe where viewers and holders participate in community-driven events to drive the storyline of the project. Their colorful, edgy animal/human hybrid characters each have a chance to audition to be the face of the franchise. Your NFT could land the leading role, turning you into a star. Who’s on a Roll 👀

1️⃣ Nasdaq joined BlackRock and Fidelity in the filing for a Bitcoin ETF. The most recent filing on BlackRock’s part sees a surveillance-sharing agreement with Coinbase added to the mix, after SEC concerns with Blackrock’s first filing. With at least 8 different issuers now racing for approval, the fight for a Bitcoin ETF listing is intensifying. SEC responses are expected in August and September, with the final deadlines ranging from December 2023 to March of 2024. We’ll make sure to keep you updated on any developments during this exciting time for crypto!

2️⃣ Big news for gamers. Gaming giant Ubisoft is venturing into the blockchain space. The force behind the Assassin Creed franchise, is developing a title “Champion Tactics” for it’s Web3 gaming debut. The innovative game will be a Player vs Player RPG experience. The title will be powered by the Oasys blockchain which is fully decentralized and features zero gas fees. Ubisoft is a HUGE name in the gaming world, will their Web3 investment pay off? We’ll bring you all the updates.

3️⃣ Looks like AI will be Grammy eligible after all, sort of. The Grammys clarified their position on AI produced tracks recently. Tracks containing AI-created elements can be considered for nomination, but the AI portion itself will not receive a Grammy. The Academy is doing this to ensure that technology enhances human creativity, rather than replace it. As AI’s influence grows, artists like Grimes continue to embrace this new technology. As the industry keeps exploring AI’s role in music we’ll bring you whatever evolution happens next.

2. Two major players, Blackrock and Deutsche Bank are making bold moves into the crypto space. However, music-related startups have shown resilience by securing investments even in this difficult landscape. Singapore-based BandLab raised $25 million in a Series B1 round. PocketFM in India secured $16 million in funding from First Citizen’’s Bank’s Silicon Valley Bank unit. Despite significant investments, music start ups have continued to attract attention.

There’s a moment of pivotal change. The actions of centralized platforms in Web2, such as Reddit, have illustrated the need for a new era of the Internet. Recently Reddit’s costly API changes have caused popular third-party apps, such as Apollo, to shut down. Apollo, beloved for the accessibility and moderation tools it provided, now faces a $20 million per year bill to keep the app running. This sparked massive community outcry. Many Reddit communities still remain dark a week later. Users and moderators were held out of this decision making process.

We imagine a world where users, creators, and moderators have a real say in the platform and its decisions. This is the intersection of Web3 and the decentralization of the Internet. A Reddit built on the principles of Web3 would be different. Each subreddit with its own token. Users earn tokens through engagement, helping shape the community’s rules and direction. Creators spend time and energy building a community almost out of thin air. Recently, platforms remove or censor a creator for a variety of reasons. Overnight a creator and their community can lose everything they’ve worked so hard to create. A growing community can be stopped in its tracks. At Roll, we aim to give creators and communities the tools to grow.

Social tokens are powerful tools for creators and their communities. They enable value beyond the boundaries of any platform. This offers an unprecedented level of independence, empowering creators and their communities to decide their own course of action based on their unique needs and visions. They're no longer tied to the constraints of any one particular platform.

Using Roll’s state-of-the-art social token infrastructure, creators can easily build a market on decentralized exchanges like Uniswap and bolster their liquidity via Roll Staking - more on that later.

The ERC20 Standard: Fueling Interoperability and Innovation

At the core all of Roll’s social tokens are ERC20 tokens. ERC20 is a technical standard for any token on the Ethereum network. An ERC20 token is essentially a set of rules and regulations that all tokens on the Ethereum blockchain must adhere to.

By creating this standard across all tokens, tokens can interact seamlessly with each other and with other smart contracts on the Ethereum network. The Lifecycle of a Token

To understand social tokens a bit better, let’s examine the life cycle of a token on the Roll Network.

First there’s minting. Roll mints social tokens as ERC20 tokens on the Ethereum blockchain for creators, projects, and communities. Once minted, these tokens exist independently of Roll, laying the foundation for their unique Web3 ecosystems. They’re ready to plug and play into a variety of different sites.

Next up comes the distribution of those tokens. We have several different ways to send tokens across the Internet.

First, is our Earn Codes. Creators generate clickable or scannable codes that reward users with a decided on amount of tokens. Our team ensures that these codes are handled with the utmost security, through a variety of protective measures to safeguard communities and their creators. Earn Codes allow creators to share their social tokens with community members in just a few clicks of a mouse.

Our forthcoming Discord Bot will make distribution of social tokens even easier. Imagine any ERC20 token being sent across a Discord server effortless and gas fee free? It’s not a dream. Shortly it will be our reality.

Roll's platform, designed with a user-friendly Web 2.0 interface, enables community members to easily become social token holders while retaining the core features of blockchain and Web3 infrastructure.

Next, it's time to plug and play.

Your social token has been minted. It’s in the hands of the community. So now what?

It’s time to create some liquidity! You can do this through liquidity pools like Uniswap and others. Or you can input your social token into a Roll Staking contract, a valuable addition to the Web3 ecosystem, that offers simple ways to create a staking contract for ANY ERC20 token. Have your community members stake your social token to earn a friend’s token. Have your friend’s community stake their token to get yours. The collabs are endless!

Following that, many of our Roll Creators like to employ our Membership Campaigns. These Memberships can help take monetization efforts to the next level.. As a creator, you can deposit any ERC20 token into a smart contract and set terms enabling any Web3 user to pay a fee to redeem a "lot" of tokens. Roll Memberships work with any ERC20 token. You could have an AMA where users buy a token lot to ask you a question. You could have a video conference where an invite is only obtained by buying a Membership lot. We’re only limited by your creativity. The great thing is that once the membership contract is over, the fees generated from your launch are directly deposited into your wallet.

1️⃣ Satoshi Lab, the parent company of one of the most popular Web3 games - STEPN, is introducing GNT V3, an AI-powered NFT generator. With this tech, Satoshi Lab is aiming to revolutionize digital identity. It will allow users to to create unique, AI-generated images minted on the Solana blockchain, all from a selfie. This empowers creators like never before. The advancement merges a users’ individuality with blockchain, showcasing the possibilities the best of Web3 has to offer. Will you snap/mint a selfie? 🤳

2️⃣ Polygon has announced partnerships with both Deutsche Telekom, one of the world's largest telecommunications companies, and Google Cloud, to support their infrastructure. T-Mobile, is how must know Deutsche Telekom, who’s set to become a validator on Polygon’s proof-of-stake network. The move down in efforts to bolster both the security of the network and its decentralization. Google Cloud’s partnership is a multi-year arrangement that will simplify the deployment of Polygon nodes for developers. By doing so, the duo hope to increase the adoption of the Polygon Ecosystem. These massive deals highlight the growing integrations of blockchain technology into traditional industries, paving the way for mass adoption and innovation. 🤝

3️⃣ Yet another massive collab drawing attention to mass adoption is from Nike and EA Sports. The two have joined forces for an exciting collaboration that will integrate Nike-branded digital collectibles into future EA games. While not explicitly mentioning NFTs, Nike Web3 platform’s Swoosh, built on Polygon, offers digital collectibles such as digital sneakers and membership cards. The partnership is aiming to create immersive experiences that focus on customization, bringing the Nike virtual creations to the massive EA Sports fan base. Hangry Animals: Unleashing a Feast of Creativity

Hangry Animals has been quietly laying the framework for their project over the last two years. They’ve focused on creating a dynamic & engaging IP that their community can grow into a household name. Just look at this Youtube video. They’ve refined their concept perfectly and are almost ready to launch.

The project consists of 11,101 unique Hangry Animals with different interchangeable dynamic traits that unlock over time. Partnering with OneMint.io Hangry Animals will have new traits dropped on the marketplace or released based off new features and games.

So far the team has developed a very strong lore. They’ve developed comic books. Have begun on an animated film. Recorded a mini rap album. Oh yeah and two mobile games. All for the HangryVerse to enjoy. It’s a really strong foundation for a project.

The team has built the HangyVerse on community participation. The mission is for the community to immerse themselves totally in this experience. During S1, $TUS explored the creator economy, through The Han & Paff Show podcast and their newsletter. Their flagship event, CreatorThon, was a big success, highlighting TUS’s expertise in events, curation, and community-building.

Taking Up Space has identified a need to focus on scalability in S2. They’ve begun framing the next season around the goal of empowering individuals to take up more space as expressions of their authentic selves.

1️⃣ 🤖💻Chat GPT is getting leveled up! Auto-GPT, an open-source application is streamlining the process by automating prompts for GPT-4. With Auto GPT, users can input a list of tasks that they want to be completed, and the application generates prompts for ChatGPT to complete the task autonomously. This represents a huge advancement in AI tech, allowing Chat GPT to become even more efficient and sufficient.

2️⃣🙊🙊Yuga Labs emerged victorious in their case against artist Ryder Ripps for trademark infringement over his copying of their NFTs. Despite Ripps and his legal team raising issues of celebrity endorsements, art, the First Amendment, and the nature of crypto, their defense was rejected. The judge in the case ruled that Ripps and his co-dependent acted in bad faith to profit. Damages will be decided at a trial scheduled for June. Ripps plans to appeal. Yuga sees the decision as a win for all of Web3.

3️⃣ ✍️🎥Wattpad Webtoon Studios is expanding their distribution with two new projects based on stories created on their platform. Wattpad’s Webtoon Studios is an audience-driven IP powerhouse, with a library of content full of potential. They have a growing roster of incredible creators with loyal fans in every genre of fiction. Wattpad’s combined audience is more than 175 million people. They’ve continued to grow their footprint in the film industry, including a new animation division. The studio has seen incredible growth and they are looking forward to the next evolution. Fan fiction can pay off!

Unleashing the Power of AI and Crypto: The Future is Now with Noise GPT

On a recent Twitter Spaces, NoiseGPT discussed the intersection of AI and crypto. The company places an emphasis on the importance of ensuring AI is free from bias and censorship. They’ve created an ecosystem where individuals can participate in the AI revolution at all kinds of levels. The goal is to decentralize technology and allow for open source/crowd-sourced data to bypass any current bias. Noise GPT understands the need for tokenization to incentivize participation. They’re currently using Roll Staking contracts in regards to their token.

Steve Aoki and Justin “3LAU” Blau have teamed up to form a Cryptopunks-inspired duo, Punx. They’ve given away half of all royalties from their first song “Concentrate” to the 99 NFT collectors chosen among Blau’s NFT holders, Aoki’s A0k1verse Passport NFT holders, and CryptoPunks holders. The company has been working on Reels ads for the past year, but only selected creators could display these ad overlay promotions. The option is being opened up to more users with added tools to help creators continue to build their online communities.🤳

2️⃣ Nike is launching its first NFT drop on its .Swoosh platform. It features a virtual sneaker NFT paying tribute to the iconic Nike Air Force 1. Yuga Labs is set to release a new NFT collection. TwelveFold, minted on the Bitcoin-based Ordinals protocol will be their newest project. A strong community is essential for creators who want to succeed in the creator economy. A creator’s community is their direct line of communication with their most dedicated fans.

Recently Roll hosted Laurennn, Creative Director at Verb Labs for a Twitter Space to discuss the importance of community.

On the Spaces it was stressed that community is everything. A strong community can help creators increase reach, engagement, and revenue potential. Laurennn discussed how multi-facted community can be. It’s a juggle of communications, marketing, growth. She discussed that it’s often difficult to explain the job of a community manager to different people.

Laurennn also discussed how the creator economy and Web3 allow communities and creators to be themselves. The authenticity is what matters in the space. Creators should remain genuine and transparent. By being yourself, passion shines through. This is what leads to a strong community destined for success.

Consistency is another important building block in a strong community. Those creators who care consistent with their content and engagement are more likely to have a more engaged community. Regularly engaging the audience and providing valuable content helps creators keep their communities active.

This past week’s Twitter Spaces showed why building a strong community is key. Fostering a sense of community allows creators to build the following to support them through their careers.

The New Creator Economy 🌐

Instagram is testing "Channels," which allows creators to share exclusive content with their entire audience through their inbox. It's a response to other platforms that help creators engage with their audience. The feature will be available over the next few months, and channels will also support AMA and collaborations with other creators.

This development will give creators an opportunity to increase engagement and build relationships with their audience directly on Instagram. It will also offer more tools for monetization and branding. As a social token infrastructure company, we're excited about this development and look forward to its impact on the creator economy. Who's On A Roll 👀

1️⃣ Twitter is rolling out the red carpet for the future of social media payments with the introduction of “Coins.”

The new feature allows users to support content creators by purchasing coins that can then be used to award other users. The option for creators to withdraw is triggered when they’ve banked $50 dollars. The withdraw process is being powered by Stripe, with a plan to possibly include crypto in the plans. This is just the beginning of a new era of social token rewards.

2️⃣ First, Ebay acquires KnownOrigin. Then Amazon tells us their hiring up on AWS due to surging Web3 clients. Now, you can trade S&P 500 on Uniswap. Is Web3 mass adoption rolling right along?

3️⃣ Snoop Dogg is once again making some music up in the metaverse. He recently dropped a open edition NFT. The .00420 ETH (8$ USD) price point is a witty reference to a timeless career. Open editions keep rolling on, as over 6K of Snoop’s been minted!

Understanding the Power of Social Tokens in the Loneliness Epidemic with the New Society For Wellness

With Valentine’s Day coming up, it’s safe to save that love is in the air. However, loneliness is too. Reports state that 36% of all Americans feel serious loneliness. Many citing the COVID 19 pandemic for their rising feelings of emptiness. No matter the reason, one thing is for certain this is an issue crippling the current population.

Technology, for all the good it has done, hasn’t helped in this regard. Social media, dating apps, all these technological advancements designed to make us feel more connect do just the opposite. Many feel even more alone. Feeling alone more users turn towards these apps for validation.

A study found that 44% of Tinder users only use the dating app for a confidence boost. Even worse 70% of users report never meeting with their matches AT ALL. Yet 80% of those surveyed reported looking for a serious relationship. This math isn’t adding up. Is their technology that can actually connect us? Web3 and social tokens may hold some answers.

The New Society for Wellness is using their social token $LOVER in an attempt tab at reducing loneliness in their community. They foster connection online with an engaged community. They port this energy into their IRL events. Community members feel more connected to one another and the larger cause of the NSFW.

It's important to note that social tokens nor Web3 is a cure for the loneliness epidemic. It's just one of many approaches that could be utilized to deal with such a complex and crippling issue.

As shown by the New Society for Wellness, social tokens can help foster even stronger feelings of community and connectedness. Tokens allow individuals to express their individuality and be a part of something larger themselves, a community. These feelings of connectedness and purpose may help lessen the loneliness that is sweeping the globe.

Who’s on a Roll 👀

1️⃣ Crypto's on fire to start off the year, reaching a new nine week high of $900 billion.

Tokens like Gala, Aptos and Bitcoin are breaking out of their slumber, recording huge gains. Is this the start of a new bull run or a trap? Only time will tell. But one thing's for sure, the crypto space is feeling optimistic.

2️⃣ Roll was at CES, the largest consumer technology show in the world. It was an exciting time for the company. Roll was invited as a thought leader in the web3 space and had the opportunity to meet with a lot of exciting companies and startups in the industry.

CES was a great opportunity for Roll to showcase its cutting-edge technology and share its vision for the future of web3 with the world. Roll was able to connect with industry leaders and influencers, and discuss the latest developments and trends in the space. CES was a great platform for Roll to highlight how its tools and services can help companies and creators to unlock the true potential of their communities.

Overall, CES was a successful event for Roll, and the company is looking forward to participating in more events like this in the future, to continue sharing its vision and connecting with the web3 community.

3️⃣ Bitcoin education is taking a huge step forward. Texas A&M is offering some of their 74,000 students a chance to enroll in a "Bitcoin Protocol" course. With a follow up class already planned, filling the gaps in crypto education and financial literacy may be here.

Roll Staking: Boosting Rewards and Security for Communities

Cryptocurrency is off to a strong start this year. More and more people are exploring different ways to use their crypto assets. As a result, liquidity protocols and governance tokens have seen a surge in popularity. Staking protocols like Lido have seen their Total Value Locked (TVL) in liquidity pools increase substantially.

But what exactly is a liquidity protocol and why is it so important? Think of it as a special piggy bank for your crypto assets. By staking your assets, like social tokens, into a liquidity pool, you earn rewards on your staked assets.

Roll Staking is here to help liquidity pool creators provide even more rewards to their users. Our goal is to incentivize people to contribute to a creator's liquidity campaign, helping them get fairly compensated for their time and effort.
